Is a dead outlet an emergency or not?
Rarely, unless it went dead with a pop, a smell, or heat at the cover plate. A single dead outlet with no warning signs is a normal repair and can wait for a scheduled visit. A whole room or circuit going dark at once is worth a call tonight instead of waiting.
Do emergency visits always cost more than normal?
