I had a great experience with Tom and his partner. They were professional, timely, responsive, and helped quickly switch out some circuit breakers that continued to trip. They also added in surge protection to mitigate power glitches that are common to my area.

We had an excellent experience with Tom’s technician who installed 2 brand new ceiling fans in our house as well as a new lighting fixture in our kitchen. He was fast yet thorough and made sure we were completely satisfied with the work before leaving, offering to handle anything else we needed.

Very Good Electrician – I had Schumann Electric out now I think for the 4th time in the past couple years. I will not use anyone else. This time it was to wire up our new hot tub. They are always on time and the job was completed as agreed.

Schumann Electric is by far the best electrician I ever had. He comes when he says & updates when in route. Tom can handle any situation. He has moved switches anywhere i asked. Many outlets been updated. Added ceiling light where I had none. Fixed outside boxes & figured out why one didn't work. Noticed my whole house surge protector wasn't working. Put one in. He has everything that he needs with him always. Steve, his worker works just as hard as Tom does. He knows exactly what he is doing. They even clean up!Posted on Google![]()

First off I wanna start off by saying this is my first Google review. But this electrician deserves a five star Google review for how professional quality work and being on time.He installed a hot tub for me it was a lot work it was about a 100 foot run from the breaker to Hot tub. He explained everything that had to be done and when he started he showed me the work he’s done during the steps Of insulation to me that shows he was not hiding any mistakes or coverups. Very professional in my opinion I would use this electrician for anything else and for any of my friends or family I would definitely recommend him . For me the best and honest professional electrician out truly a great persons ShawnPosted on Google![]()

I can’t recommend Schumann Electric highly enough. After moving into our new home, Tom and Steve helped us update and improve some outdated electrical work, making sure everything was safe, reliable, and up to modern standards. They were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything along the way. Not to mention the communication with them on scheduling is so much better than any other company I have worked with. No back and forth between multiple parties. They get you scheduled and get the job done right. They also did an outdoor lighting project for us, and the results have been absolutely incredible. The lighting has completely transformed the look of our home — it truly makes our house stand out as one of the most beautiful on the street. Their attention to detail, craftsmanship, and design sense exceeded our expectations. Schumann is the type of electrician you hope to find: trustworthy, skilled, responsive, and genuinely proud of their work. We are extremely happy with everything they have done for us and will definitely be calling them for any future electrical needs.+1

Upgrade Asks
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions owners ask before a panel upgrade even begins.
How do I know the panel needs upgrading?
Three signs, and any one is enough. Every slot is taken, or filled with tandem breakers doubling up. The label says 100 amps and the house now runs a heat pump. Or an electrician told you there is nowhere to land a new circuit. We measure before agreeing with any of them.
Do I need a bigger panel or sub-panel?
It depends where the new load sits. A garage, a shop, or an addition away from the main panel usually takes a sub-panel fed from it, which saves running six circuits back across the house. Where the main panel itself is full, a sub-panel only helps if the service can carry it.
Can a panel upgrade wait until next year?
If nothing is failing, yes, and we will say so. What does not wait is a panel that is warm, a breaker that will not reset, or a brand with a recall against it. Those are repair questions rather than upgrade questions, and the answer changes completely once we open the cover.
Will the new panel need AFCI breakers throughout?
On the circuits code now names, yes. Bedrooms, living areas, kitchens and laundry all call for arc fault protection on a new panel, and kitchens and baths add ground fault on top. It lifts the price of the breakers, and it is the part of an upgrade that buys the most safety.
Should aluminum wiring be pigtailed at the panel?
If the house has it, yes, and an upgrade is the moment. Aluminum branch wiring from the late 1960s and early 1970s loosens at every device as it heats and cools. We pigtail each connection with a listed connector while the panel is open and the power is off anyway that day.
Does a panel upgrade raise the home value?
It rarely shows as a line on the appraisal, and it shows every time on the inspection report. Buyers and their agents read a modern panel as a house that has been looked after, and a full or recalled one as a bill they will inherit. That gap is worth real money.
